astra gte digital dash
i went to put my astra gte digi dash in the corsa at the weekend but i seem to be missing two wire on the corsa, when comparing it to the wiring diagram, i seem to be missing the white with black tracer (but iv got a black with white) and the brown with yellow
does anyone have a pin out so i can find where the wires should be so i can then join it to the astras wires?
i took a couple pics if that helps
iv wrote out a pinout of what i have in my dash plug staring at the top left wire to the top right then the bottom row left to right
1: brown with blue tracer x2
2: green
3: brown x2
4: white
5: blue with black tracer
6: black with white tracer
7: black
8: grey with black tracer
9: blue with black tracer
10: blue with white tracer
11: brown with red tracer and brown with white tracer
12: black with a white spot (see pic below)
13: blue with green tracer
14: blue with white spot
15: blue with red tracer
anyone know if they are wrong?
as you can see no brown with yellow or white with black

Re: astra gte digital dash
right mate wot diagram/guide are you using.........?
i have a pic of the astra plug some where i'll try and find but heres a diagram. its for a nova but there 99% the same
hope this helps mate. drop me a pm if needs be.
you'll also find that the one you say is the grey with black tracer is actually you white with black tracer. i had a similar problem and got confused to.
also you say your missing the brown with yellow tracer (and yellow sheath?) dont worry about that one some corsa have it and some dont, its the same with the astra 's some do, some dont. mine did and jacks (corsaboi) didnt
hope this helps you mate and good luck with it. half of mine and jacks didt work so we gave up with it

Re: astra gte digital dash
simple mate, its on ur gear box, next to the gear linkage. best to put it in reverse to acess it. its only held in by 1 10mm bolt
tops the old anoluge one but its missing the gear the goes in the bottom and spins to register the speed............
and the bottom one is the new electric ones that work properly
hope this helps dude

Re: astra gte digital dash
yeah if you've got the bottom one its perfect just forget about it.
when i say it works properly it reads the correct speed, and doesnt require any additional wiring etc.
thee older ones are a bit of a pain, you hav to get the tranny and the dash from the same car or its inaccurate. this is because there were several different model digi dash's and each kind had a different tranny to go with. and its very hard to tell the tranys apart by lookin at them.
or atleast thats wot im told lol
