arden blue 1.0ltr corsa project
Im making another project log for this car because i didn’t like the other one and couldn’t be bothered to try and delete it and start again so just making another one lol.
So the story began late November 2009 when i felt it was time to shop for a car, sadly at the time corsa were too expensive for me, and i really liked starlets, but they were expensive, so i was going to get a micra and make it look like the starlet haha, after many weeks of searching through autotrader and ebay, i found a very promising 5 door corsa b in black, with all the dogs danglies extras haha, but i didn’t like the look of 5 door cars, so went looking again for a 3 door corsa b. And found this great example of a corsa b. Exactly what i was looking for, corsa b, 3 door and in arden blue. And for under 1k. Cant complain there, had MOT and TAX, no dents on body work atall, slight bit of rust on the bonnet underneath though, so you don’t see it lol. Here are some pics of when i first got it.
Then when i got it home, then went to Halfords to get a stereo for it, as the standard tape player was no good and didn’t even work haha, so i got this instead.
I then decided it was time for bass, so i purchased a twin 10inch pioneer sub, and put that in my boot.
But i thought it took up too much space, so i took it out and replaced it with a single 12inch fusion sub.
By the way the pic above is quite a recent pic. Coz i didn’t have 1 from when i fitted the sub.
Was flickin round ebay for bargains, and found some xenon headlight bulbs, £2.50 for a pair in the end, looks alot better i think.
I then though the steelys were cramping my style =P haha, so went shoppin round for alloys, went to a few scrap yards for cheap alloys, and found these, not the greatest but all i could find.
But decided not to buy them, then one of my mates said he was selling his corsa c sxi alloys for £100 with 2 brand new tyres. So i bought them straight away, changes the whole look of the car i think.
Then thought id treat the bumpers and get rid of the grey, and put them back to black
I then fitted speakers to the parcel shelf couldn’t afford a stealth shelf so thought id have a go at making one myself lol.
I also got a K&N performance air filter from Halfords, which was reduced from £85 to just £5 an amazing bargain my end. This is it fitted, i kept the original airbox fitted in there, so if the air filter comes off, it doesn’t disappear somewhere it shouldn’t be lol.
I then yet again was looking round ebay and found blue LED sidelights, and got them for £2 a pair. This is what they look like.
Still to come:
GSI IRMSCHER SPOILER
PERFORMANCE BACKBOX
COLOUR CODED DOOR HANDLES
COLOUR CODED BOOT LOCK
ECHOTECH ENGINE COVER
WIND DEFLECTORS
BLUE SIDE INDICATOR LENSES
NEW STEERING WHEEL
ALLOYS TO BE BLACK
And cant think of anything else at the moment lol
Any suggestions of things to do will be very much appreciated.
Thanks for looking, Jamie.

Re: arden blue 1.0ltr corsa project
looks good mate, try not to go mad with the blue theme, try and bring another colour in to accent it abit
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

I'm going for the Blue and Black theme - Keeping all the trim black, black alloys etc - for the side repeaters you can get smoked ones clear ones or black ones
Also get some light tint from halfords (approx £15) and tint your rear lights depending on how dark you want them just cover them a layer at a time but they finish really nice. Also have you thought about a badgeless grille - can pick them up for about £20 on ebay although i may be selling my Mesh one as i have decided i want a slatted one and de-badgeing the car makes it look really smart.
Not keen on the army theme on the parcel shelf but other than that tidy motor
