hey was wondering if anyone can help here :O my corsas a 1.0 12v i drive quite normal shift never higher than about 3K ? its on 39000 miles but the problem is i only get about 25 mpg [] ? i know theres something up my last car used to get 50-60 on a fiver :O so im really noticing it !! my cousins is a 1.2 16v and he gets like 40 to the gallon and his is on 90,000 :| i have all service history on it its due a service now though could this effect ?

well with the weather we been having latly you wont see high mpg, sadly
but anyway could be a few things affecting mpg, first thing is yes give it a service
airfilter clogged, fuel filter clogged could cause low mpg
check your tyre pressures, as these can affect it,
weight is another killer.
its nice to have a massive sound system but these usualy weigh a ton and ruin fuel consumption

my cars completely standard nothing added accept a spoiler and alloys :O nothing in the boot but a spare wheel !! tyre pressures all at 31 psi checked today !! all take her for a service on thursday my cousins a v/x mechanic so i get a full service for 34 quid !! ive heard storys about the lambda sensor anyone shed any light ??
