Hi handbrake used to move about 6 clicks has been tightened now and is about 3 / 4 clicks fully on... As far as we can see everything is moving ok.. But I not a mechanic so I don't really no how much they shud move or what I looking for... Can you tighten individual sides I.e just tighten the faulty side..??

no you cant it pulls on one side then the other.the only other thing to check is the cable runs smoothly in the nylon seats /guides where the cable goes round the corner of the axle beam just give them a good soaking with wd40 and worrk the cables to make sure it moves freely.if its free then the only other thing is lubricate the handbrake pivots on the shoes

Mot update.... It failed again lol.. we Have already tighten the cable so 2 / 3 clicks handbrake
is fully on... They had it on rolling road today And as befor brakes by foot and handbrake work perfect on passenger side but still fail on drivers side.. The chap at Mot centre they have a pressure rating and they shud read 100 for Mot pass the passenger side it hitting that everytime the drivers side is only hitting 55... So now gonna put new shoes in even thou these look fine, have greased pivots, checked cable all looks ok... Help me !!!! Anything to look for?? Anyone suggest anything??
