speedo cable removal

hi all, got a bit of a problem, due to my job i have done about 20k mikes since april 09 15k of em since mot, only insured for 5k cos they want to load ma premium to declare all the miles which brings me to plan b, i need to clock ma 94 m reg corsa b to get mileage back to insurance freindly figures. Im only gunna scrap or break it when ive done with it anyway so its not like im trying to rip any one off, tried today but cant get speedo cable off back of dials any ideas???
