Re: 2l 8v conversion
you can buy the correct mounts of the shelf. wiring is about 4 wires. goes in easy.
Have herd of problems with drive shafts, easyer to buy them for the conversion but these can be expensive.
Am a bit dissapointed with the 8v not as quick as I hoped. see how the prices of a 16v compare

Re: 2l 8v conversion
now you've said that i think im gonna do the c20xe conversion instead. ive checked the stats on both and the bhp difference is large. if i get a doner car could i use all the frond end such as driveshafts, suspension ect . . and just buy the engine mounts???
thanx 4 the help!

Re: 2l 8v conversion
breaks you can use
the inner cv joints
and outer cv joints if you get the conversion hubs other wise you need corsa gsi outers.
everything else is different

Re: 2l 8v conversion
you cant use the inner cvs unless you buy conversion shafts at nearly £70 each use gsi shafts and mk2 cavalier inners 22 spline or calibra equal lenth shafts have the hubs turned down and move the circlip grooves inwards on the cv joints
