THE FAN ISNT KICKING IN ON MY 1.4 CORSA B SPORT, ANY IDEAS?

The headgasket is away, I am just about to do that now, I dont want to start it untill i get the fan working, Could it be the temputre switch?

you letting it get up to tempriture? its a common question the fan wont come on till it hits 100 degrees
bear in mind that the thermostat wont be fully open till it hits about 106 to 107 degrees.

most likely cause of fan not comming tho on is the swich or the thermostat
but there are other things too like could be a blocked radiator or the temp sender could be fault too.

best thing is to test your fan swich and thermostat first and take it from there

It was nearlly at 100 degrees today and it still hadnt came on, I thought they came on abit earlier than that but?

leave it running till it gets to about 105-110 degrees, dont worry it shouldnt damage your engine.
if the fan dosnt come on then you have a problem.

but nearly 100 degrees isnt 100 degrees so it still wont swich on lol

Ok I Left It Running again till it went till the we white line after 100 and just before it goes into the red and the fan still didnt kick in, so i think ill try a temp switch now
