Lights and clock

Post by Subliminal »

Just a quick question to see if anyone has any ideas of why this happens.

Currently when I turn on my side lights, the section with the clock/date/outside temp disappears and is no longer lit (but it still runs fine) and when the lights get turned off - it appears again.

Any ideas? Also does anyone know how to remove/replace the light bulb behind the dials for the fan/heat/direction bit - im sure you know what i mean  its rather late so cant think straight 8)

i bet you have the dimmer all the way down, try moving the dimmer wheel next to the rear fog light button

Thanks but ive tried that. That makes the dash brighter/dimmer but it doesnt seem to have anything to do with the clock turning off when the side lights are turned on.

Any other ideas?

it doesnt afect the car or the way it drives, is it really a big deal :?

its more than likely wired in to the head light switch. if u want it to stay the same brightness u cud pobly wire it in to a perminant live and not the headlight switch. so it wud stay the same

bit of a waste of time if you ask me
