Water Leaking into footwells, need help..Please

HI,
I have a Y reg Corsa 2001 model (00-03 body). Its been sitting for several months as I have been unable to use it (due to ill health). I went out in it the other day after it had been raining the day before and went for a drive. I parked the car and on returning to it notice that water had leaked into the passenger foot well from behind the glove box. It had ran down the inside at the back onto my floor mate and down into a puddle in the middle. I opened the bonnet and nothing is leaking, removed the battery some signs of water, but nothing major. However the area is full general bits. Then I noticed that there was also a small puddle under the base of the steering column (no run marks).

So my question is - does anyone know where the drainage holes are on this model. The Haynes manual does not help and my local garages just want to spend a day stripping out the engine to find them (££££). I was also told by the previous owner (a good friend) that when he got it, it had a similar leak on the passenger side and was told that there is an electronic box bolted to the inner wall of the engine compartment around there and they had not sealed it correctly, but has no idea where it is. I think this was just a fib though as it is strange it has only started after the car has been standing for a while and a mate was told by Vauxhall he needed a new sun roof because it was leaking, but the actual mechanic just removed some debris from the drainage vent and fixed it free of charge. Note my car has no sunroof, so it’s not that.

Thanks for any help you can give. You helped me a lot when fixing a friend’s car a while back so I hope you can do the same for me. Oh and if anyone has any pictures showing the locations that would be even better.

Orite mate tbh sounds like it's the grommit behind the glove box leaking. It's right up just under the windscreen if u lay on ur floor and reach right up you should be able to find it these sometimes leak or have come out of place causing a leak

that car at that age is a corsa c . if you look under the bonnet on the passenger side up near the back of the engine you will see a black box close to the bonnet hinge that is the body control module ,also its where the loom enters the car . the seal between that and the body is only sealant and its not done very well . just take the top off which gives you access to the mounting screws ,remove them and lift the box .clean the surface of dirt and especially water put a good bead of silicone sealer arond the mount and refit.this is a common problem on the corsa c and an easy fix.hope this helps

thats what i was trying to describe. my c had water in the footwell one day and i traced it back to there ... however on mine it was a wireing gromit rather then the sealant but eye man that should be where ur issue lies
