Post by Dickydan »

17 yr old boy passing test

roughly how much would the insurence be on a 1.4 corsa?

8v or 16v make a differance?

put simply.............ALOT!

im paying 2300 or sumit on a 1.2 16v. and thats only third party fire and theft.

unless u have very deep pockets i'd get a 1.2 max
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

yh u cud, but make sure u get your own NCB.

tbh if u have a look at the specs a 1.2 16v is quicker, faster then the 1.4 8v

go on somthing like confused or compare the meerkat.com get some quotes
my 1st year on a 12ver was over a grand so dont expect it to be any cheaper

altho if your thinking of insuring it as your mum or your dad as main driver and you as a named driver on the policy...... be carefull
cus if they find out it is actualy your car (which the probably will if you start modyfying it) they can refuse to pay out in the event of an accdent.
go TPFT and earn your own no claims. costs alot to start with but just gets cheaper :)

hope this helps

i duno tbh mate u'd hav to get a quote.

but tbh is it really worth paying and extra 500 or woteva it will be extra on the insurence for and extra 10mph?

and i personaly wudnt bother trying to tune up a 1.4, i'd save my money for a 2.0 :D
