Help, Im new to all of this :)

Post by Alexxj220 »

Hi,

I got the corsa from my mum (Not Cool) but it was free, so its all good. Its the green version, not the nicest colour but its not bad. I want to do the following things..

Remove Back Seats, Put false floor in (With backlit Amp Window) and Carpet.
Somehow make all the grey interior black (How would i go about doing this ? )
New rims
Led up inside of back Left and right window.
Dark tint back 3 windows.
De Wiper
Get some bucket Seats.
New steering wheel.
Back light all the dials with Green LED's

Is there a way to make interior (Dash) another colour, is it as simple as spraying ?

On the exterior, I am going to leave it stock, As i live in a poo aria dont want anyone breaking in, But i do however want to remove the rust and put a mesh grill in to it.
:)
This will be an on going project inbetween work so will take about 3 or 4 months. :)

Any idea and HELP please :)

Many Thanks

i'll try and give u a bit of advice on a couple of things m8

1) black interior - some corsa's came with this as standard so try and scour the scrappys and forums (corsasport is a gd one for classifieds) for some1 selling it. its mainly just the black door cards and a few plastic bits so shudnt cost 2 much

2) rims - i wouldn't go much bigger than 15's and ideally you will want the tyres to be 195/45s or 195/50s at max or it will give the effect of raising the ride height a bit. are u planning on lowering at all? if so id recommend vauxhall alloys with the correct offset (et49) if u want to go lower than 40mm without the tyres rubbing :)

3) bucket seats are again a lot better being bought second hand but just remember they will need their own sub-frames as they wouldn't simply bolt into to the existing corsa ones

3) the steering wheel is again easy but remember u will need a aftermarket boss for it 2 fit on. this is the expensive bit so just watch out for cheap wheels without the boss as they wont work :)

4) the green leds on the dials are a nice addition to a car and there is a guide i think on here about how to do it. if not pm and i got it all saved in a word doc on my computer. pretty straight forward 2 go and the kits are really cheap off ebay - under a tenner for all the leds. if u want 2 look really smart tho lockwood dials are the way 2 go :)

5) and yup colouring the dash is as simple as spraying but will require a lot of prep work with sandpaper and a lot of careful and slow spraying to get it 2 look right. otherwise it will look poo and ruin the look of the car. make sure u got a lot of spare time if u want 2 go this

sorry for all the writing - just thought id offer what i know for u :)

welcome mate sounds like ur gona b busy, i personally wudt go for green LED's in the dash as from wot i've been told they arent very bright at all.

get some pics up of the car
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!
