Recently we took off the old rusted petrol tank and replaced it with a brand spanking new one. Since then the car has been hesitating when pressure is applied to the throttle in neutral. It never done this before the old tank was replaced only since.
So what we've done since to try and resolve this problem :
Replaced petrol Tank.
Replaced Fuel Filter
Replaced Spark Plugs
Replaced MAP Sensor
Replaced CAT & the whole exaust
Tried injector redex stuff no joy
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.
Also tried to hook up an ODB2 ELM327 to the corsa it wouldnt connect for live data on software but VauxCheck says there are no fault codes. I'm not sure if the R reg 1997 Corsa B is OBD2 compliant in the first place maybe someone can answer that aswell.
As Big Dan advises check the fuel lines. Rig up an extension to fit the fuel pipe so that you can connect it at a garage and use the airline to blow the pipes out. Do it like this: Use a piece of metal to join the disconnected pipes to a longer length of pipe which will allow you to give both a good blow through at the garage, make sure that when you reattach the pipes before and after you go to the garage that there are no leaks. Any crap should be blown back into the tank.
as above that would be a good step to do and also have you tried bleeding the system of air? i know on diesels if theres air in the systems it wont start so give it a try mate
