  that thing is in a bit of a sorry state, its a 2 litre 8 valve (c20ne) and the clutch is shot, oil light comes on at tickover, rear arches are getting a bit rought, laquer peeling off the bonnet and wings, and a few bits have been donored and put on my car

i think it will eventually get broken for bits

Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

so we had a bit of a shopping list to get from the scrappies

for mattys car: a throttle body
fog light switch
idle control valve

for my car: a drivers side rear light
a tyre
and a few little bits of interior plastics

got all of the above and while waling around we spotted a mk4 astra with some cesaros on it, asked how much and was amazed at the price, £60 for all 4 with the tyres  amazing when you know the right people :p

this is the pile of bits we had when we got back :)

Image

fitted the new throttle body and took the rocker cover to check the runner for the cam chain as the engine was noisy, tightened up the bolts and it was fine then, saved a big job of changing the chain etc

Image

tested one of my wheels on mats car

Image

Image

Image

started on getting the wheels prepared for paint

before
Image

during
Image

Image

and in primer
Image

we only got one in primer so far but will get some more done tomorrow, also got a water pump to do on mats

more tomorrow :D
