Hello boys, first time on this site and first time ive ever bought a corsa B !!! .. i've had a C and few other cars but now just bought a B for 150 quid 1.4 16v and also just bought a c20ne engine, 2.0 8v, and im in the process of putting it in ... question is that i dont want to put the standard manifold on it because i dont want to wire it all up, what im going to do is twin carb it, webers pair of 40, ... what power gain do you think it will take that up to with a full exhaust system? considering the standard engine has only 115 bhp.
many thanks,
Chris !

with webbers and a full exhaust system on that engie i would say around the 140-145bhp mark depending on how well it is set up

Re: Hello there, and a question about a c20ne :)
the engine in standard form aint too bad to be honest, there good in the original car so will be a fair bit better in a corsa as there a bit lighter, they have quite a bit of torque so will pull well in the higher gears
you didnt get a bad deal at that price then

Re: Hello there, and a question about a c20ne :)
you can use the standard fron gearbox mount and the standard rear mount but it has to be modified and spaced out slightly and you have to buy a conversion engine mounting, look for one on ebay for a c20xe redtop as they mountings are the same, plus you need to know which body type your corsa is as there are 2
for the powersteering if its hydralic then you need a conversion powersteering bracket, again use a c20xe item and mount it too the engine and mount your pump to that and work out all the pipes etc from that
