Vauxhall Lotus carlton engine

Post by sach »

after having the Vauxhall / ford very civilised debate that Vauxhall won, i had thought if Vauxhall Lotus carlton top speed 176mph horsepower 377bhp@5200rpm over a cossy.

how hard wound it be to fit a Vauxhall Lotus carlton engine in to say a corsa/astra/nova? i know its passable but what would it take?
money a side of course?

you know what, easiest way to get it in would be to put it in the boot. and make it rear wheel drive, check out the people who put my engine in, they are good but i wouldnt recommend them really, too pricey. and i know you get problems with engine conversions, but i just had too many really, engine bay couldve been neater as well. the site has a photo of a rear engine peugeot, just read on there that the conversion cost adam £11,500

i wasnt aware it was rear wheel drive.... makes sense tho! i have read that there was uproar and the papers tried to get the cars stopped as they considered them to dangerous! f**king papers get right on my T**s
would be hard to find a smashed up one i reckon, ive heard that vaux sport lost one of these engines when the place burnt down, thats harsh :(
im presuming you\'d have to weld the front engine bay into the back of the car its going in, you\'d have to cut all the rear floor pan out and lower the car over the engine, and jack the engine in on some sort of table. dunno if that makes sense

throw it away! it\'d just be extra weight you wouldnt want
