Hi ppl need your help.
my engine management light has started coming on recently, it doesnt seem to effect the running of the car when it come on it revs the same as normal and will pull as normal, the light doesnt always stay on for long periods either and it only comes on when moving at speed.. some times its only on for a few seconds other times it can be on for a few minuets.... so anyway i thought i would try and do a papperclip test see if that showed anything, and then atleast i would no were to start looking... so i followed the how to guide on here and straight away hit a problem... the guide says if you have the simtec 56.5 16-pin connector (which i do) you should place the paper clip in pin 5 & 6 only problem is i dont seem to have a pin 6.... help me plz !!!

Re: Help With Paperclip Test
Ooh right ok then, yea it didn't really worry me Too much cause if owt major was up the car would go into the so called "safe mode" and like I said it don't it just keeps going as normal, it's just annoying really, I have noticed it only really does it at higher speeds and revs... Just driving round town an that it doesn't really do it..
Anyone help me on how to do the paperclip test with no pin 6... Would be good to no for the future... Is there any other way of finding the fault code... Help me lol

Re: Help With Paperclip Test
I bought this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT
And its very good. It comes with the op-com software (looks exactly like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqrhF_6LDcQ ) and a USB to EMU connector.
