engine managment lite

Hi engine managment light came on last night while i was driving along so i pulled in at a petrol station turned the engine of left it a bit started it and it didnt come back on saying that i didnt go far after that just came home but on the journey home it didnt come on any ideas cheers its a 1.2 8valve corsa.

honestly mate it cud be a million and one things if your worried about it get a diognostic test done.

It could also be the usual Corsa b, eml lights on for about thirty seconds, no problems at all, simply vauxhall's inability to perfect the warning systems. So I would not worry too much about the ecu light being on, unless you feel the car altering considerably in power, you should be fine.

its not came back on since so a day or 2 later i took my air fiter of and put the normal box 1 back on in case it was that but i have heard of people that the engine managment light comes on anyways on some corsas that mite be it like because it running fine from what a can tell at the mo lol

Hi was coming back from dropping some money of at my mates when the engine managment light came on again so i drove the 3 miles home car was not hesertating it had not lost power and was running fine so i got the car back to mine turned the engine of went in mine a few mins later i went back out and started it up again it was idling fine revved fine and the engine managment light went out

Very common fault with the light coming on seemingly for no reason. Mines did it all the time, on for thirty seconds then off, then on, with the engine running as sweet as a nut. It can be really annoying, but unless the car is playing up, disregard it, or there is always a nice wee piece of black tape placed over the eml. lol
