In desperate need of help, as i am now out of ideas.
Basically, on the motorway doing 70 a deer walked out in front of the car, after pulling over the car was still running and the radiator had a major leak, services was only a 1 miole away so i thought is chance it and get there.
Shortly after pulling off the car started to get extremly hot and eventually went off the radar after only about 1 minute. Which tells me over heated maybe??
The services finally arrvied and as soon as the clutch was pressed in the car died and rolled to a stop.
Now we have changed the fuel pump fuse and bought a new relay, although still unsure where it goes even thought haynes says its "Behind right-hand footwell trim panel" and purple yet no fuel pump relay.
When the egnition is on there is no priming noise from the fuel pump but when it tries the start the fuel pump does fire up and pumps fuel through the lines. Even took the lines off at the engine and a huge amount of petrol came through after firing it up.
We have also tested for a spark and there is a good looking spark.
Any ideas would be a huge help
Car will not start, has a spark and seems to be getting fuel

Re: Car will not start, has a spark and seems to be getting
With the engine getting too hot, the cylinder head gasket, or the head itself is probably blown. If that is the case, there will be compression therefore your car will not start. Get the compression tested, or buy a cheap kit off ebay and do it yourself.
Also check for water in the sump, in case it is running right through the engine into the sump.
I think the deer will have cost you a lot of money, but perhaps not, indeed I hope not.

2 main places for the relay are above the fuse box next to your knee on the drivers side, or try behind the glove box theres some behind there.bought a new relay, although still unsure where it goes even thought haynes says its "Behind right-hand footwell trim panel" and purple yet no fuel pump relay.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

fuel pump relay is behind right footwell panel as stated in the haynes manual,it is above the ECU,its a bit fiddly to get at,its easy to check fuel pump also, lift up rear seat, pull back the carpet, you will see a plastic cap about 20cm in diameter, prise cap of with a screwdriver, you will see a locking ring, this has to turn clockwise to remove, you can check if pump is working.
crapper did'nt invent the toilet.

Dont always listen to haynes. Having an X reg - ive found the fuel pump relay to be to the left of the glovebox. Only way of getting to it is to remove the glovebox.
