Plastic wheel arch trims

Post by corsa25 »

Hello, I was wondering whats best for the faded grey plastic wheel arch trims. None of the plastic restores work. Should I paint them black or the body colour [white] ,also whats the best type of paint to use. Thanks.

I know this sounds odd but Peanut butter is good to restore the black :)

Your better to paint them the colour of the car. but blacks nice aswell. I would just use back to black. Although u need to do it every so often

i had the same problem recently but i chose to primer and spray matt black, my car is a darker blue colour and it looks nice. I had the handles done too.

Buy a cheap can of black, spray them.. done! spray your bumpers to match though.. Best way to do it is sand it down, primer it, spray it and i find lacquering it is also good. Then again on my old corsa i just sprayed over them black.

Iv'e just sprayed my wing mirrors black from silver and laquered them they look great but make the trim look shiot, may paint aand laquer some trim as a trial but dubious wether it would look too black and tacky?

yh shud be ok aslong as u dont mind it peeling off after a few weeks, or as soon as a pressure washer touches it.
