Rear end

When driving my 1998 1.0 breeze at higher speeds...eg 70mph i can feel a slight wobbling and weaving coming from the rear, i think the drivers side. I would be driving straight ahead and i can feel the back end moving and it feels a bit skittish. Does anyone have any idea what could be up, like any common problems and fixes.

hi mate...

i found that out with my prevouis corsa that i now have got rid of.. the problem with my when i eventually found it was that the person who i had bought it of was involved in a catagory c accident and they didnt tell me,,, they put the car back on the road but it had been welded with half of another car.. apperntly with the to cars being diffrent, that made the problem.. i got rid of it to somebody who said they could fix the problem and had the car for themselves.. its worth checking what tha history is behind the car,,, ovs this doesnt mean yours has had the same thing done to it buhh its gota be worth a try.

thats what happend to mine anyway mate.. hope it helps...

Cheers dude. Did a HPI check...no problems with anything on that everything came back good

. Although havent rli had a good look at the car. Ive owned it for like nrly 2 years and thers been no problems. Not rli that confident with looking for stuff, what to look for and repairing things myself. Anyone with any clues or ideas what could be the problem things to check etc.....Obv just a bit weary bcoz obv safety is always in the back of my mind.

Any help would be appreciated ... thx

Ahhh sound mate,, least everythings alryt in tha respect... only thing i can think of is the axel myt be loose if its shaking.. myt be worth taking it to a garage and getting them too look.. do you live anywer near burton upon trent? id say id have a lok at it for you or take it to my grandad who owns a garage hed have a look at it for you for nothing?

buhh thats the only thing i can think of is tha if tha axels abit loose... im no expert buhh myt help

bushes in rear axle might be gone or even check the wheel bearings !

sounds like worn bushes in suspension arm on back axle.

iv given the wheel a good firm pulling and all appears ok and slip underneath and i cant see any obvious faults. hw could i check the bushes? and any other ideas cheers dudes.

it did this in my corsa as well and every part of my car was fine - i had it MOT'd and then anything that didnt cover got them 2 check as well. i just put it down 2 a light, tallish car that simply gets bashed around my motorway crosswinds. All small cars wobble a bit at 70 or over - they are much more comfortable doing 60
