i have some lexus tail lights and they stand out too much, i know no one likes them but i want to know if its illegal to spray the chrome clusters black, i will spray them gloss black and then put some clear laquer over the top. Will this be ok?

should be okay. mate has just sprayed his jet black. as long as the light shines through it should be okay.
as for the actual chrome clusters I don't know, but you could just spray the lights.

It should be ok aslong the light shines through and the reflectors arent covered. My mate sprayed his and it failed its mot as the refelctors had been sprayed over

well i might just spray them tonight anyway, then when it goes for an MOT put the standard ones back on, or if it dont look good i will just put standards back on.

well i think i will use a hair dryer coz from what i have read its glued on like the bumper strips are to the door. so a hair dryer and something to remove the cover should do the trick.

And I just want to ask, is it really necessary to put covers for tail light? Because I think it will not totally protect your tail light in some situation. thanks.
