Re: black sxi
cool lol, get some pics up on here of it now, my mate had the same problem in his accord, cant mind the name of the sub think it was twin 12" fusions subs in a box and was slidin about so he made a wee plate and bolted it to the boot over the spare tyre comparement, and it was fine, was jsut like a bit angled steel, and it worked a treat, he still managed to get into his spare wheel so that was good

Re: black sxi
not yet, thankyou for reminding me.
for any of you that havnt seen the various logs and build up 2 the shows heres how she stands now........
right just a few little updates,
first up decided to clean my header tank and washer bottle
took ages, tried a few different ways, best way i found put some soap powder ( the stuff ur mammy wash's your Y-fronts with) in with some boiling water, block the holes up give it a shake and let it sit for a while. after 10mins empty it stick some rice in (yes the stuff u eat) with some warm water and give it a gud shake till its spot less.
right next up, decided i might aswell flush the radiator out.
2 bolts and a few hose clips and she popped striaght out.
got the hose out let the water run through for a while filled it up and gave it a shake. loads of crap came out. refitted it refilled the coolant/antifreeze/water and thats that sorted.
last but not least me and liam checked out my pollen filter when i was down at his for USC and we cleaned it the best we cud be it was still filthy. i managed to get one from vauxhall today (for some reason they parts guy has decied to start giving me a bit of discount )
got the old one out and look at the difference!!!!
all fitted
i didnt expect it to make much difference but it bloody well did, so mankey smell when you first put the fans on, the heater is hotter, the cooler is cooler and on full blast it feels like a tornado!
thats it for now.

Re: black sxi
cheers pal! wicked photoshop
for now its staying as it is, theres no point in spending anymore money on the body work cos there laquer peel every where. if or when i do decide to get a full respray i'll but puttin my gsi bumper on, and colour coding it. but i cant see tht happening for a while cos im skint. the plans for now are just to keep it going untill the engine goes bang. then get another little run around (hopefully another corsa gsi) while i stick a 2ltr lump in and get it resprayed.

Re: black sxi
right so bit of an update:
got bored the other day so decided i would make my own sub box. heres how far i've got so far...............
took me about an hour to do tht so hopefully shud be finished and hopefully carpeted this week end. thats aslong as i dont get distracted by this................
another astra gte digi dash, i gave up on the last one sent it to liam (bluecorsab) who re-did it and fitted it to his corsa, now after seeing his i got inspired (and a bit jealous ) so i fort i'd try again. i started moulding it again and after a few days my patients was wearing thin (i have very very very little patients) so rather then give up again i left it with liam after USC and he's done an absolutly AWSOME job of finishing it off!
one of the problems people hav with the gte dash's in corsas is the oil pressure gauge shows bog all and the warning light flashes, because theres no oil pressure sensor on a corsa. so before i attempt t fit the dash im gona look for a blank on the fuel pump and fit a oil pressure sender so tht hopefully it will work.
HUGE THANKS TO LIAM FOR DOING AN AWSOME JOB!
comments welcome
