just do as i said, get a instrument cluster with rev counter, go to scrappies and get the wire from behind the insturment cluster to ecu then join up with the one you have, its the easiest way trust me...but mind get the brass/goldy coloured metal thing that is joined to the wire that goes into the connector at the back its simple mate

the green wire should go to your ignition coil,
same as if you buy one of those aftermarker ones from halfords

just make sure you get the clocks from a 4cyl engine, as a 3cyl set of doner clocks will show incorrect RPM (or visa versa)

easier than running a wire in, theirs a 1inch by 1inch plug in your drivers footwell next to your ECU, which goes up behind your dashboard, in your case you wont have a pea green wire coming out the top of this plug going inside your car (which is the one that powers the rev counter) BUT you will have one on the underside of this plug, that wire goes to a plug but it doesnt come out the top side of the plug, if you get what i mean. just cut and join this wire if it doesnt come out the top of the plug, and run this wire up to the plug behind the dash that the dials fit in to. its honestly as simple as that!!!!!! i cant understand how hard people try and make it!!!!! :meh:

oh ok i get it, so basically this wire isnt doing anything so i just cut it and lead it into the pin for the rev count and the other bit into the ECU?

first tho make sure that the green wire isnt coming out of the plug aswell as going in, because if it is going out then check your plug to make sure its in the right slot, but if it isnt coming out of the plug then just cut it and add a length in, dunc you on about the bit where i say as simple as that

i thought it was gonna be hard as nails when i was gna do it but i just went for it and as soon as i seen it i knew it was easy, dont be scared to do it mate just cut the pea green wire from the plug next to ecu and join it with wire and run to clocks,
