17 inch alloys? help please

my mate has 17inch alloys for sale, and I know the et for my corsa b is 49, and these alloys are 38 will they fit ok? or are they guna rub?

i have just fitted 2 of the wheels on the drivers side on the front and rear to see how they look, and i think they look better than the standard 14" steals!
the back has loads of space all round, and the front has about a "finger" gap when turning, and thats with just me sitting in the car with my bro feeling!
i think they should be ok or less i lower them!
plus they sit further out from the car then my standards!

still would like some input!

all the tread has to be under the arch.
when lowerd it will catch.
