Re: Coilovers v conventional uprated suspension
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Howdy neighbour! LOL
I used to call on a couple of tyre dealers and haulage companies in the Hexham area when I worked as an area sales manager for Bridgestone Tyres.
Before that I was an area sales manager for Weber Carburettors in the south of England and before that I did 10 years as sales manager for Piper Camshafts down in Kent. Before all the posh jobs I did a motor vehicle apprenticeship on Vauxhall, Fiat and Citroen so I know my way around a car, just a bit rusty on some of the latest technologies, but that's what forums like this and google are for! LOL
My son has now handed over a wedge of his hard earned cash for his suspension kit, now 100% certain that it will be an uprated conventional setup as my son spoke to one of his mates who has a Corsa with coilovers and is fed up with replacing front tyres because they keep rubbing.
I've just got to put a new roof on the garage first as it's leaking and it never stops bloody raining here and I refuse to get wet when working with him on his car. (a sign that I'm getting old!!!)
I like your idea of keeping a log of the improvements and modifications so I'll take some pics and post them on here as the work progresses.
