Help with alloy wheels please
Hi,
I recently bought a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 16v Club 2000, corsa b.
When i bought it, it's got these 13" vauxhall fox racing alloy wheels on, they look tiny on the car.
I'm looking to get 15" or !6", not sure which size would look best, any ideas?
Also would the size i have to get be 195/45/15 or 195/45/16?
Many thanks.

They dont have to be 195 no. Better with 15's mate' 16's just take tha piss. Only thing to look out for is when ur buying them the ET (offset) Should be 45-49 (Only if your lowering it)

Re: Help with alloy wheels please
would probably get 15"s then and would 40mm be right you think to lower it?
I read your better buying a whole kit than just springs when lowering but due to my limited knowledge i dunno if thats true or not.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Help with alloy wheels please
You would be better off getting a complete suspension kit. Standard shock absorbers are designed to be used with standard length springs with a standard spring rate. You can get away with a 40mm drop on standard shocks but they are unlikey to improve the handling as the standard shock will struggle to control the increased pressure of the uprated springs, you might even find the handling is worse. Shock absorbers only have a limited life, some manufacturers recommend they be replaced after 36000 miles, irrespective of whether they are leaking or not as they start to lose their efficiency. In reality very few people replace them until the car fails its MOT because a shock absorber is leaking. Shock absorbers should always be replaced in axle sets otherwise the cars handling can be severely compromised.gareth_mattey wrote:would probably get 15"s then and would 40mm be right you think to lower it?
