GSi questions
there was two different engines in the gsi weren\'t there pre ecotec was faster, scotec faster, becasue of something to with emmisions i think anyway.
think later ones had leccy windows, airbag/s,
why dont you consider going for a sport 1.6, newer, and have all creature comforts like leccy windows, airbag, power steering which some gsi dont have.
your choice though mate

The C16 XE is the better engine to go for, you can get upto 200bhp from this engine with the right mods (and money)
As for the extras the later models came with twin airbags, leccy and heated mirrors, leccy windows and sunroof.
Having said that my car is a 93 model with came with leccy windows and sunroof

GSi questions
no
heated seats were some luxury or limited models... or something anyways, not GSi!
My GSi does have the wiring though for the heated seats, just no mats or switches & relay is missing...
But I do have everything BUT passenger airbag on mine!

LS definately didnt have elecy seats... LS was just a \'polished-up\' merit, nothing special!
GLS was just a 1.4 16v LS with a few extra \'bits\', again... no lecy seats

My GSi is a 1994 c16xe and has nothing - no sunroof electrics or anything which is what i wanted.
Vauxhall did put the looms in for the heated seats in every Vauxhall but you need the pads.
the only Corsa which got heated seats as the CDX - which also had leather as an option.
C16XE more power pre ecotec
X16XE 3bhp less (not noticeable) but has EGR (emissions control which is a pain)
Paul GLS - was just a trim level with 1.2 16v and 1.4 16v 3 and 5 door varients.

Teddy - my old LS didn\'t have the loom for the heated seats... nor had the 3 merits which I have stripped down!

They should have because even the nova loom has them in - even the base models with no parcel shelf!
