I have a 1997 corsa b, it has a de-cat and i was wondering would it pass mot without it? Does it just go by emissions?

Re: Corsa b help
hmm strange coz when i had my de-cat pipe fitted it wouldnt go through as the emissions were well to high the only way it would have passed is if he know the mot tested and got him to put it through the mot as a pass

Maybe he knew the fella that was testing it, how much do you think it would be for a second hand cat? or even a full standard exhaust mate?

Re: Corsa b help
Ive been looking on ebay i dont really want to pay the price of a new one if it coming off again if ya get me mate, looking for a second hand one just to put it through mot, i think the pipe is welded so i might be better going to a scrap yard and buying the whole exhaust, what ya think mate

Re: Corsa b help
na i wouldnt have thought so all i will say is that if you have to remove it yourself good luck coz being a mechanic myself they are a f**k pain in the arse if its rusted together and if they have removed it make sure its not to damaged and that its for the right car ie 3 door or 5 door
