if you were in essex i mightve had time to have a look, but newcastle is a bit far  i think ya best bet is to look in yellow pages for a diagnostic peep, taking it to vauxhall will cost way to much. just explain over the phone the problems you are having, if they are anygood they\'ll have an idea of whats wrong, id advise not driving ya car if poss, you might make it worse, sorry cant be of anymore help :(
sounds to me that your ecu is picking up on some sort of engine problem that you have previously said about, timing? i dunno :? [/quote]

hey T200EDD

mum had a simular problem with her car, engine sorta went funny ma dad had to put his foot down to keep it goes and afetr a few secs engine managment came on, it also was making a nasty noise and was judding a bit.

All came down to a stone chip in the raditor and was infact the eingine mangament thinking it was cooling the engine so was regualing the fuel wrong or somrtihng.

This may be no help but u never know

(car was mg zr 03 120+)

have you done some basic checks:
look on the top of oil cap for any white residue- possible head gasket blown,
check oil, see if low, or if white residue, same as above, headgasket,.
