if any one could offer any help it would be appreciated,
whenever i fill my vauxhall corsa merit 1.2 up with petrol after about 3 litres the fuel pump starts clicking out on me, i went to another garage just to confirm it wasnt the petrol garage, and the guage is showing its only just over half full, so i am not sure weather its the guage or not. any help haha??
thanks

Re: filling up fuel
try pulling the gun out a little and see what happens, it should stop if it doesnt and it stays clicking out on you then it is probably the fuel tank breather pipe causing it
Drive it like you stole it

Ahh right I tried pulling the gun out using different angles etc but it just doesn't accept more than about £3 haha, where is the breather pipe located I haven't had the time to have a in depth look yet, is it a big job?
Thanks

i used to have the same problem mate, the way i got round it is to kinda lean down on the handle when filling up if you get what i mean but obviously not to much incase you break anything, works for me everytime now

Re: filling up fuel
I am sure the pipes are located on the tank itself, you need to be under the car to view them (not t sure as I left mine)
as for checking the sender, under the rear seat and carpet there is a black cap, pop it off and the fuel pump is there, there is a metal locking ring which needs knocking out the way (safety 1st so dont use metal tools) when its undone, undo the 2 pipes and pull the pump out, you will beable to tell if the tank is full at the same time
