very stiff throttle.??

hi so i have just bought another corsa b its a 99 t reg in arden blue the only problem with the car is the throttle it is very stiff and when pressed you have got to press it if you no what i mean.???this is not normal as the corsa i bought before is the same year and thats nice and soft.
any help would be great thanks ste

is it stiff at the engine or just on the pedal? If its the pedal try spraying wd40 on the mount to free it, it could be the throttle itself needs a clean and freeing off or the cable could be jamming up maybe its frayed etc and needs replacing

Hi, iv had loads of corsa's + tigras that have stiff pedal. i think only 1 or 2 had a 'loose' pedal.
