hey guys newbie here im thinking about buying a 1.2 merit but iv heard there not very nippy i had a 106 before and i thought that was pretty nippy so what can i do to the corsa to get it a lil quicker can i put a new head on it like a 16v or anything like that???

nope you cant, there isnt alot you can do to them. they're pretty nippy tho tbf for a 1.2! orr completley strip out the interior and boot and just run a dashboard and two seats.

i duno if youl no what are they like compared to a 106 iv always liked the corsa tbh i just want a car and make it look good lol i guess after a while i could stick a new engine in it lol

get urself a corsa sri 16v or if u want cheap insurance then get i 1.0l and put the sri engine in it very nippy

well my 106 got smashed into but the blokes blaiming me so i need something cheap atm but i want something nippy lol

i had a 1.2 corsa and it was slower than my 106 1.1 if i had to pick one i wud say 106 or go down the sri engine rouht

I had the 1.2 8v and to be honest it was pretty nippy, it benefits from regular servicing and good fuel (not the cheap supermarket crap).

me & the girlfriend currently have a 106 quicksilver and corsa 1.4 16v sri and to be honest the 106 doesnt stand a chance.

For cheapness and just so you have a car I would recommend a 1.2 8v to anybody, you can make it look excellent and for what it is, its nippy then when you can afford to spend a little more money, you can drop the engine and get smething alot faster and drop it in. Happy Days

completly agree with dandandan. go for the corsa. 106 1.1's are crap! yeah theyve got more bhp but there really crap cars compared to corsa's. ive got a 1.2 8v and its a great wee car. you can always upgrade the engine when you can afford insurance
