Re: fitting rev counter
Are you swapping the electric dials for electric dials?
If so, its easy. If you putting ones in that have a rev counter and have a 12v engine, dont bother, the rev counter wont work as the its calibrated for 4 cylinders, not 3. The 12v's never came with a rev counter (from what im aware). I put a cable/rev speedo in my 12v electric today to make sure they work ready for my engine swap, the rev counter was pretty funny, went off the clock if i rev it up slightly.
If you swapping electric dials for ones that have a speedo cable then im not sure. (or vice versa) Think it requires some sort of sender unit from a F28 gearbox?!?!?

Re: fitting rev counter
like i said on facebook mate, pop ur clocks out and have a look for a bright green wire, if you have one then its just a case of pluggin it in. if not u ay have to wire it in but its simple enough.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Re: fitting rev counter
what year is it? if its 97 or newer then itl defo have an electric speedo and take the clocks out as matty says and if it has a bright green wire at the back of themgoing into the connector then you can just put the speedo with rev counter in but youl have to move i think its 1 or 2 of the wires in the connector along so you get your hand brake light and em light

They did Before I drove my (good condition) 1.0 I test drove a couple of wrecks, one of which was a 3 cylinder Envoy with a rev counter, hehe. The 12v's never came with a rev counter (from what im aware)
Apparently the swapover is easy enough to do, you just have to make sure the dial pod that's fitted IS from a 1.0 12v. Obv that depends where you get it from.

Really? They must be setup for 3 cylinders. I tried my clocks to be (from a sport) in my 1.0 and they were all over the place!kedw200 wrote:They did Before I drove my (good condition) 1.0 I test drove a couple of wrecks, one of which was a 3 cylinder Envoy with a rev counter, hehe. The 12v's never came with a rev counter (from what im aware)

@Corsa12v- Yeah, they are. I'd love to see the crazy 4 cylinder ones, sounds very amusing.
But yeah, it IS possible to find them! I personally don't have any, but you'd definitely need some from a Corsa 1.0.
