fitting a new water pump

Post by Ross92 »

hi guys, i am wanting to fit a new water pump onto my corsa 1.2 sxi.
i no exactly how to do it but the only problem is that i am stuck on how to take the engine mountains apart from eachother, the way i was looking at is was if i had to lever them over eachother but i wasnt sure if this was the way to do it, could anyone tell me the proper way to do it as i am really unsure lol
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just a thing I haven't worked on a 1l or 1.2 16v but you should be able to remove it without having to remove the engine mount surely... You can with every other vauxhall bar 2.0 corsa etc
TURBO LAG IS JUST FOREPLAY ;)

2.0 16v GSI SPORT TWIN WEBER 45'S AND KENT CAMS :]

i have the 1.2 16v sxi and it was a right badger to get the mount off, after you've got it off its piss easy. wen we did mine it only took an hour or 2 but we used allsorts to get it off, cant remember wot. remember to support the engine wen ur taking the mount off thou.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

i must admit i tried last night and it was a right faff on, eventually i just had to leave it cos i couldnt be bothered lol you would think removing the mounting would be the easy bit! lol
apparently the way you are meant to do it is to just lower the engine and then the mounting on the chassis should just come out then raise the engine to get the other mount off, really not as easy as that.
suppose am just gonna have to keep on trying
