1.0 Clutch Replacement

Post by Sanandreas21 »

So i have a 1.0 Corsa Sting 1997 and i think the time has come where i need a new clutch due to a foot slip on the clutch pedal whilst on a hill and not stalling :?

Anyway what i was wondering how difficult it is to replace. I was told that some cars are able to have the clutch replaced from underneath the car without removing the gearbox.

Anybody know if this is the case on my car?

Thanks

youl have to take the gearbox off mate. its only the old vauxhalls that you can do it with some of them. and ive never done it on a 1.0 but done them on freelanders, 206's clios 306s and there relivtley easy. get a haynes manual and follow that mate but if you have never done it before expect it to take a day maybe two.
