Re: black sxi
right time for one hell of an update so hold on to your hats
so first off the rear gsi bumper is now black.....
its not perfect but it will do
also sorted the split in the front gsi bumper, riveted a metal plate on and plastic welded it. so its pritty dam strong (trust me i've tried breaking it ) giv it a quick skim with filler but its an old pic and now wen you look at it you cant even tell.
from this......
to this......
picked this up from a scrappy but not sure if im gona fit it.....
its a mk5 astra sri.
also went down to liams again last week (bluecorsab) no shows this time just went down to hang out and work on the cars....
first up was servicing my brakes and tightening up my rear brakes...
then for a drive and spotted these
and some pics of the corsa again..
then liam came up to mine for a few days and we decided to go on a road trip up to the scottish border and otterburn camp.....
wrong turn?
was all goin great, UNTILL THIS HAPPENED.........
so while wait for mr RAC man we went for a wonder in the middle of know where and found this...........
went back to the car and discovered a bit of a puddle
so after 2 hours of waiting mr RAC man said the car was way to low to fit on his trailer jig thingy
so he said he wud hav to tow us the 40-50 miles home
any one that tells you being towed is easy is talking out there arse. 6ft behind a van doin 40mph with no vision of the road, no brakes, stupidly heavy steering it gets a bit scarey. but all credit to the RAC man he was a top driver and got us back thorugh all the blind sumits, dodgey corners and daft people over taking in once piece. so the cars now sat on the drive with no oil and a f**k sump waiting to be fixed on monday wen i get down to the vauxhall garauge to get the parts.
i have a video some where but the camera is being a tit so will upload it wen i can.
so thats it all up to date. thanks for reading

Re: black sxi
a few more pictures for you, one of us being towed and another few of how the gsi front bumper stands at the moment........
so from this:
to this:
its getting there now, just gona smooth out the grill bit and then finish off the last corner as the previous owner (mobiius) seems to have grafted on some new corners but he put poo loads of fibre glass on the out side edge where it will be seen
all comments welcome

Re: black sxi
well went to vauxhall today to get what i needed to fix the sump.....
walked into the vauxhall garage with a full wallet, 2 arms, 2 legs and left with an empty wallet being pushed in a wheel chair robbing bastards!
they wanted £153 for the sump its self but i've sourced one for £27 but havnt seen it yet and chances are its a patented part. so fingers crossed
