Hi all,
Im putting a 20seh in my corsa B, Ive brought the engine and got 99% of the parts, its going in in a couple days.
Ive had a word with an mot tester and he says the car will be tested on the emisions by the age of the engine in the car, he told me if i put one in thats pre
'92 and requires no cat (as does the 20seh) then i would have to prove the age of the engine. Once thats done (with the DVLA), the car will be tested by the 20seh emmisions.
Problem is, i brought this engine from a scrapped corsa that has since been turned into a cube. The engine was from a cav sri 130 originally.
How can i get this to work? my cars going in for an mot this week before i put the engine in. That will give me 12 months to sort it but i need to know a method of proving that the engine dont need a cat.
Can anyone help me?
