Yellow engine light flashing

Hello have the yellow engine light flashing and can only start car with spare key, can anyone help me with this problem, this my first corsa and car. Recently fitted new ripspeed air filter has this caused it to come on ? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

if your management light is flashing its telling you the car is immobilised ,if it starts with the spare key then its pointing to a fault with your key . has anyone had it in bits and lost the chip out of it as its just not recognising that key .it must stop flashing on your spare key because when the light is flashing it will start but cut out straight away

Well anyways sorted it now the chip part fell out this morning as i changed the key fob battery, it was not recogniseing the key but rectified the problemo and alls fine thnks

Sorry to hear that, found mine and put back in keyfob Think you may have to get new chip from Vauxhall and have it coded to your car.
