right so finally got eveything i needed to replace the sump yesterday after being given 2 wrong sumps and being told they do not make replacement sumps for my engine :?

sat for over a week and its still coming out

underneath of the car is covered in oil

NEW SUMP, THIRD TIME LUCKEY!

got the sump off after lots a shouting, swearing, the main problem was getting to all the bolts on the cat. cudnt get the last one off. so decided i wud just take the exhaust manifold off. once again every thing was going great till the lastbolt which just wud not budge.

so borrow my bro's proper tools and had another crack at removing the cat

finally after trying everything i walked in to town to get a new socket, walked home . still no joy. walked back in to town got another socket this time i was determined to get it off. put some huge pressure on it and finally BOOYA! GOT IT :D :D :D

Image

so finally had the cat off meaning i cud get the sump off. for any one wondering wot it looks like behind the sump here it is....

old and new..

got the new one fitted and all back together in no time

so its all back together and running sweet as, next up is new plugs, and air filter seeing as the oil and oil filter is brand new.

thankyou matty
