Lowering a diesel corsa.

I have a 1.5td corsa, i have been told not to lower it anymore than 40mm as it is a diesel.. is this true, if so why? as i want to lower it 60mm.

i've never herd of tht, and seen plenty of diesel corsas dropped on there arse's.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts :rant:

Pheww :D Apparently it will pop the drive shaft out.. how i dunno lol something to do with the deisel car being heavyer than a petrol.. do the lowering springs have to be scpecifically for a diesel car or is petrol springs ok?

the petrol ones should be fine mate, as all b's are pretty much the same, just try get springs that can handle the weight of the engine, should be fine though as people drop c20xe's in there cars on lowering springs and shocks,

nothing wrong with lowering a td

this was mine with a 1.7td lump in it

Never heard of a diesel being different to lower before? lol roperstun that picture is Phat! i like it alot ;) low is the way to go lol Is that what you own now?

nope coolant hose burst and i didnt relaise and fried the piston rings broke it for spares and now have a td corsavan

Aw no way man! thats gutting!, well Td corsa vans are still nice in my opinion anyway lol

lol td corsavans don't exist only diesel ones mines been converted

already done it was rolling roaded 3 years ago and made rolling roaded at 116bhp and 175 lb ft that was at 1 bar im now running 1.5bar
