for an xe your looking at around 300 to 500 for engine gearbox wiring loom and ecu, but you need mounts which brand new are around 80 pound not including gearbox spacer, need equal length/motorsport shafts and hubs which i dont really know a estimate on price, powercap which is around 30 pound, if its a 1.0 or 1.2 16v you need a 1.2 8v gear linkage, im sure theres a few more things ive forgot, i got quoted around 1500 for a full conversion with all the best of parts, including coilovers and v6 brakes and 5 stud fan blades, but best way to do it is buy smalls bits at a time, like shafts, hubs, brakes, mounts. hope that helps buddy

look into the x20xev like liam (bluecorsab) has, his looks the dogs boll@x on and drives wicked too and he's done his on a very tight budget.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

the engine wasnt exactly a rocket in the vectra no but once it was in the corsa it was completly different due to there being less weight, you could pick up a decent x20xev and f18 gearbox for around £150-£200 depending on where you go, as mentioned i was lucky enought to be given a whole car, but there were bits on the car i couldnt use so i needed them off a mk3 astra instead, all in all at a guess i reckon its only cost around £150 to fit and lots of hours of dedication to get it as clean as it is right now

c20xe is more a common conversion and is always the ONE people want to do but the c20xe is getting on a bit now and for them to be a good engine they need rebuilding 9/10

cost wise i would say doing a x20xev would be cheaper as c20xe's fetch upto £600 sometimes and you could get a whole car with a x20xev in it for that

there is no comparison between a normal corsa and a big block corsa mine wheelspins everywhere in the wet so you can imagine what its like in this weather it will also top 140 now its on the right gearbox so no complaints really . an easy way to loose your liscence if used for showing off with
