need urgent help

Post by pharoah2010 »

when i went to de ice tha car at 5:00am i started the engine to demist the windows and warm it up for me so as i get in it to leave at 5.30 the heaters are blowing cold instead of hot and i notice the temp gauge is nearly in the red could this mean the water in the coolant was frozen and if it was what damage could it have done and how will i know>>>

Have a look at the water in your coolant tank, is there even any in it? If it has frozen no one can say the full amount of damage it has done but I no a friend who didnt check his anti freeze and the water froze and f**k the whole engine but his wouldn't even start so don't sound like yours is that bad lol

Is ther any chance you could put car in garage overnight with heater to make sure it is fully thawed out before refilling with antifreeze

happened to me the other week mate, whole water system froze over but i didnt know and overheated the engine whilst driving D:
had to drain the whole system, hoses were full of ice and slush, refilled it with a load of antifreeze and been ok since like (touch wood) just checking it before every journey in this weather. could of nacked your water pump with all the ice though
It's always a work in project...never will be finished or complete
