firstly i have a 1l corsa 12v i have installed 12 inch subs in the boot running through 8 guage wires
the amp is only 400 watts and the clock, date etc dims when the head unit is on
after some research i found that a power cap should stop this
so i brought a 1.0 farad power cap installed it
yet i still have the problem why is this ?

if im sat ticking over with my sub turned up my head lights and speedo lights dim as the bass hits it cuz the sub pulling more power than the altanator is giving the battery is wot someone sed to me when i asked some people bout it.

get a better battery or make sure alternator works properly.

just search around rac batterys are usually pretty good.

you could always just try turning you music down abit...............
the idea of a sub is not to have the windows shaking but to have the right amount of base to match the treble etc.

Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Put a voltage meter on the battery when the engine is runnig should read just over 14volts. If it does the alternator is fine. To stop the voltage drop you have done the right thing in fitting a capacitor cap because thats what they are for. They store energy and release it when the system needs it. If it didn't work maybe you need a better one. Take it back where you got it from and exchange it for a better one.
