HELP! Need tips on small things that need fixing.

Post by smgbyers »

Having minor, but very irritating problems with my corsa..

1. It's impossible to lock both doors and boot at the same time.
2. The lights for the heating don't work.. eg. 1,2,3,4.. red/blue light.
3. The light for the clock NEVER goes off.

WTF?!

Okay the 1st one is complicated enough i think but the 2nd and 3rd seem so simple!

Any ideas..?

1. get central locking? that would do that

2. you need to bring the center console out, there is three bulbs in that, but its a pain to get to, pain to fit, and pain to put back in :') i did it not long ago.

3. the clock on the mfd? thats not meant to go out, if im correct in thinking this thats on a permanent live so it never goes off, unless you mean even when you take keys out of ignition etc, then not a clue sorry

1. It does have central locking, but it doesn't work. That's the problem.

2. Thanks, sounds a bit time consuming but hopefully will get at it.

3. It NEVER goes out.. keys out of the ignition and it's still on.

1. fair enough, try testing each motor see if they work? check wiring? or buy a new set and fit that in?

2. aye it is, i thought it would take half a day, took all day instead, was a git to get back in correctly :')

3. no idea sorry, someone on here might know something mind

@CorsaEdi you tried switching bulbs?
