Corsa B 1.6 16v are the engines slightly tappy

Hi i have just bought a 1.6 16v corsa sport yesterday my make who is a machanic said the engine sounded abit tappy but to me its just very slight i drove the car back from york to durham and it never flackerd is it a normal thing ?

well, hard to tell beause every engine will tap at some point in they're life, if its not much hastle try making us a video and put it on youtube then give us a link and we could say what we think? but tbf they do tap a little but should be alright, if anything put slightly thicker oil in it. what miles is on the engine as high mileage engines will tap as they will be more worn that lower mileage engines.

hi to be honest i paid 250 pound for the car its on an r reg with 108 thousand on but had all sorts done to inc head gasket water pump cam belt load i will; try making a video later on today and upload it it only has a very very slight tap that you can bearly hear the engine feels really fit still goes like stink
