it could be a head gasket issue yup - check for the other tell-tale warning signs: mayo on the oil filler cap, oil leaking from engine block, loss of oil, oily coolant and blue smoke coming ouit the back. If u dont have any of those things though then it could just be your car - some corsas run really high without damage lol. whats ur engine and mileage?

hmmm sounds as tho it cud be maybe a block in the coolant system or sumthin - think my ex had a similar problem with her 1.2 8 valve and having the coolant system flushed out with the heaters on full blast seemed to unblock it a bit and lower the temp and make the heaters a bit better.

it does seem quite a high temp for the engine - mine used to touch 102 ish bt only in traffic - it used to run at around 97 usually.

tbh ur best bet with this might be to check it into a garage for a simple check (shud be either free or only 20 quid or so) and then get them to tell u whats up with it.

something else to consider is the consistency of the coolant liquid... if ur running low on anti-freeze and have a lot of water in it then it wont be as effective and run hotter, although not sure if this would effect ur heater temp
