Re: water temp sensor
just bort a coolant temp sensor for my car, there only a few quid from parts shops. so no point in getting one off ebay. atleast at part shops its just down the road if its wrong or dodgey.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Re: water temp sensor
could do, the coolant temperature sensor tells the ecu how cold the engine is, which and then amoung other things tells the idle control valve and mass air flow meter how much fuel and air to mix and how much choke and what not to apply. if your sensor is dodgey the engine could think its cold even when its hot and could possibly be getting the fuel/air mixture wrong. either way its a cheap and easy thing to do and would be one of the first things i would check of the list.
