yet another problem.

my m.o.t is due soon and i got another problem.

when i start the car from cold it starts fine but a short time after i start hearing a clicking noise. and it sounds like when the choke is on its makeing like a spluttering noise. when the engine as warmed up a little it stops makeing the clicking noise and the engine management light comes on also when the engine is first started and i put my lights on they seem to flash a little? but apart from that it seems to drive fine but obviously the engine light stays on. does anybody know what it could be?

p.s, the clicking noise seems to come from the fuse box when i'm sat in the car but also when the bonnet is up it can also be heard from there

search on here under FAQ and find how to do "paperclip test" that will tell you what the management light is showing up for.

maybe just a solenoid in a relay or something gone if its coming from the fusebox

i done the test. it came up with a egr valve fault what a brill trick!

it also done another code after but its not listed on the thread?

it came up with 1-9-1-1-10 which it obviously 19110 code but it aint on there?

right people i done the paperclip test again, it came up with...

0110- intake air temperature sensor. (ATS)

0130 - heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor. (HEGO)

1405 - EGR valve.

could anybody tell me where any of these are located and could i do it myself?
