Corsa B (2000) petrol 1L, 3 cylinder. Clatter!

Hi.

My Corsa B (2000) petrol 1L, 3 cylinder manual, with 85000 on the clock, has a fairly disturbing clatter sound at idle. It sounds like a bit like a diesel!

This sound has been present for as long as I have owned the car (12 months). Though, it does seem to be slowly getting worse.

It looks (through the oil filler hole), like the cams are not getting quite enough oil, but the oil light does not come on. So I guess the oil pressure is ok?

Anyone else experienced this? Any advice?

Hi, this may be timing chain, i believe its common on the 1L 3 cylinder
