My Arden Blue..

Post by SeanXE »

Hey Corsa-B.co.uk, the main site I use is corsasport.co.uk, but got bored and started looking on other forums to see what good looking cars I could find, but thought I may aswell put a project thread of my own on here...

So i'll start with showing you all how I got my car, and how I changed it to the current day :)

But before that i'll show you my previous sport I had before the arden, had to sell because I couldn't get insured on it :(

So when that got sold pretty much standard I bought this;

Image

Image

Image

Image

It's a Club 1999 V Reg, the guy I bought it off made some mods of his own, as follows;

1.2 Engine from a Corsa C SXi (Z12XE)
Corsa GSi brakes
60mm suspension
Smoothed front bumper
After market fog lights
Vectra CDX wheels 15"
Colour coded arches
And then a couple of interior mods.

I then fitted all the parts I had bought intending to put on the sport..

Carbon bonnet
Smoked DEPOs
Carbon door cards
Corsa C SRi wheels in Anthracite
Black spoiler
Sportex 3" outward rolled back box

I then had the misfortune of my first car crash, ruining my Carbon bonnet, front bumper, my DEPOs and my slam/landing panel..

Image

Image

Image

Image

So me and my dad got to work quick, and put my GSi front bumper on as a replacement..

Image

Image

Image

I then got my GSi body kit resprayed in Arden Blue, then fitted it;

Image

Image

Image

Shortly after I got tired of my SRi wheels rubbing on the rear arches, so got some Cavalier Cesaros, sprayed in dark grey with a polished lip.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Next was the slam panel change, was like brand new..

Image

Image

Image

And then came another set of new wheels, Cavalier GSi wheels in white.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Then in the week the wheels were being refurbed, I fitted my new rear lights, and -80mm rear springs (not settled in this pic, sits lower now)

Image

Image

Image

My smoked DEPOs then come through the post, and slabs were back from refurb and fitted back on; Springs basically settled here..

So, that's how it sits today, I'll keep you updated people.. Next will be the DEPOs fitted. If weather permits that will be tomorrow.

Thanks for reading, Sean!

OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!
